Equipping, Encouraging and Supporting God’s Servants

The Pastoral Ministry Department is dedicated to supporting and developing pastoral ministry across all 51 churches in the Lesotho Conference. Through ongoing training, practical resources, mentorship and pastoral care, the department seeks to equip ministers with the spiritual strength, knowledge and skills needed to serve effectively.

By encouraging spiritual growth, strengthening leadership and promoting healthy congregational life, we support pastors as they nurture believers, guide church members and advance the mission of the Church. Our desire is to ensure that every minister feels equipped, encouraged and supported in their calling to lead God’s people and proclaim the everlasting gospel.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” — Ephesians 4:11–12 (KJV)

Pastor Training and Development

We are committed to the continuous spiritual, professional and practical development of pastors across the Lesotho Conference. Through training programmes, workshops, seminars, mentorship and leadership development, we seek to strengthen biblical knowledge, preaching, pastoral leadership, counselling and church administration. Our aim is to equip ministers to lead with wisdom, integrity and compassion while remaining faithful to the mission of the Church.

Pastoral Support and Welfare

We recognise the spiritual, emotional and practical demands of pastoral ministry. The department seeks to provide encouragement, pastoral care and appropriate support to ministers and their families. By fostering fellowship, mentorship, prayer and open communication, we aim to promote the well-being of pastors, strengthen their resilience and help them serve their congregations with renewed faith and commitment.

Evangelism Coordination

We support and coordinate evangelistic efforts throughout the Lesotho Conference, encouraging churches and pastors to work together in sharing the everlasting gospel. Through evangelistic campaigns, Bible studies, community outreach, discipleship and follow-up initiatives, we seek to reach people with the message of Jesus Christ and nurture those who respond. Our goal is to encourage every congregation to participate actively in Christ’s commission to make disciples.

Church Planting Initiatives

We encourage the establishment and development of new congregations in communities where the Adventist message can be shared and nurtured. Working with pastors, members and local leaders, we seek to identify opportunities for outreach, develop committed ministry teams and support emerging groups as they grow into healthy, mission-focused churches. Through prayer, evangelism, discipleship and ongoing guidance, we aim to extend the Church’s presence and make the gospel accessible to more people throughout Lesotho.
